Two test plots were installed on the New York Parks and Recreation Building, featuring the lower cost Bio-System as well as the high performance Eco-System. Volunteers from Recover Greenroofs (a Boston Certified Installer), Adie Jewett (a Bioroof Agent in the Eastern US), along with members of the Parks and Recreation Skills Training Program all pitched in to make the day a great success. Pre-vegetated sedums were planted for the Bio-System and a seeded application of Bioroof's Northern Meadow mix was used for the Eco-System. The test plots are two of over 25 distinct systems currently being tested and displayed as part of the 5 Boroughs Green Roof Initiative.
