Covenant House, Canada's largest shelter for homeless youth, has gone green. An innovative new roof top garden project has been designed to provide unique and inspiring opportunities.
Using Bioroof's Eco-System design and installed by Landsource Organix Green Roof Division, the 7000 sq. ft. garden is truly an outdoor oasis. Some 5000 perennials, raised vegetable planters, a wetland area, a fish pond with a fountain, and overhead trellis are just some of the features of this outdoor classroom.
Not only does it provide educational and vocational opportunities through hands-on experiences, but it also acts as a therapeutic and tranquil haven for the shelter's youth. You are invited to see it for yourself. Just contact sales@bioroof.com and one of our associates will gladly make arrangements.
